BENEFITS OF YOUR COMPANY'S PARTICIPATION
Why should your electric utility participate in the HR & Talent Acquisition groups and related metrics?
Electric Utility Only
We are not aware of any other group that is formed by the electric utilities where you can compare common HR metrics at a very low cost. An Electric Utility Steering Committee has kept the cost at $1,195/electric utility.
Electric Utility Contacts
Even though the metrics are coded, you will be provided a contact list of all participating companies including contact name, email and phone number.
Networking
You will benefit immensely from the contacts, mentoring program (for new participants) and conference interface with participants. Most have said, next to the metrics and benchmarking, this is extremely valuable.
Ownership of Data and Analysis
All of the HR metrics and data are the sole ownership of the participating companies. The metrics, raw data (for additional internal analysis), surveys/benchmarking, and contact information are accessible at any time by the participating companies (through a code and password) and are downloadable in Excel format for additional analysis.
Best Practice Presentations and Surveys
Best practice presentations are posted on the web site along with periodic surveys conducted by the utilities.
GOVERNANCE
Governance of the EU-HRCP is provided by a Steering Committee which includes a minimum of nine representatives from electric utilities. The Steering Committee is responsible for oversight of an annual budget submitted by the Project Manager for project management and conference/ workshops, benchmarking or committees to work on projects related to the metrics. The Steering Committee is led by a Chair and Vice-Chair.
PROJECT MANAGER
The EU-HRCP selected R. E. Habegger Principal, HR Strategies & Solutions, Inc. and Project Manager located in Raleigh NC. Prior to HRS&S, Rick was an HR Manager at Florida Power & Light Company in Miami, FL and left in 1992 to establish an HR Staff Augmentation Service for the electric utility industry. Rick also manages two other organizations: the Electric Utility Talent Acquisition Group (EU-TAG) and the Nuclear Human Resources Group (NHRG) including labor relations and total rewards/ compensation projects since 1995.
